Home destroyed by fire in Laurel County

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) -- Three fire departments were called to the scene Sunday afternoon of a fire that destroyed a home in southern Kentucky.

Dispatchers tell us the fire broke out on Laurel River Road off highway 2-29 in Laurel County.

Officials and a witness who lives near the home, tell us no injuries were reported, and the fire looks to have started in the attic.
