A home has been heavily damaged after a fire ripped through it Tuesday night.
27 NEWSFIRST is told the fire broke out around 10 p.m. on Lily Drive, near Alexandria Drive in Lexington, in the Garden Springs neighborhood.
We're told that as crews arrived, heavy black smoke was visible from a block away.
Officials tell us the fire started in the rear of the house, and extended up and through the attic.
There were some residents at home at the time. Firefighters told us no one was injured in the fire.
Investigators are still trying to figure out what caused the fire.
