Updated: Wed 8:12 PM, Nov 21, 2012

MILLERSBURG, Ky. (WKYT) -- An investigation is underway into a house fire that destroyed a home Wednesday afternoon.

The fire broke out along Main Street in Millersburg.

The people who live in the home say they have lost pretty much everything they own, including two pets who didn't make it out of the fire.

A mother and daughter were at the home when the fire started, and were able to get out. They tell us their two cats ran back into the home, and they weren't able to save them.

Firefighters don't have a cause yet but the people who lived there believe this fire started on the second floor they think it was something electrical.

The woman's husband was at a store at the time, but we're told he rushed home after hearing about the fire. The whole family is pretty upset, but firefighters tell us they're thankful to be alive.
