RICHMOND, Ky. -- An injury accident in Richmond shut down the Martin Bypass at Four Mile Thursday afternoon.

Officials said that a car was hit on the side by what seemed to be a utility truck. The impact sent the car across the median and into the other lane, where it came to rest on the shoulder.

One driver was taken to UK Hospital. That man's condition is unknown.

Traffic has since returned to normal in the area.
