Man arrested walking with 4 year old along Laurel Co. road

A man is in jail this morning after Laurel County deputies found him walking drunk along the highway with his toddler

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - An intoxicated man was arrested in Laurel County after deputies found him walking along the highway with his young child.

The Laurel County Sheriff's office arrested 30-year-old Michael Patterson on Saturday night after they found him walking intoxicated along U.S. 25 with his 4-year-old son.

The sheriff's office says a roadside investigation determined that Patterson was under the influence. He faces several charges including Public Intoxication, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Endangering the Welfare of a Minor.

Deputies found suspected marijuana and two glass pipes used for smoking illegal drugs on his person.

Patterson was arrested and lodged at the Laurel County Detention Center.

The child was released to Patterson's sister through social services.
