Investigators have identified a man found dead inside an apartment on Friday.
The Fayette County Coroner's Office says the man is Christopher Burns, 36. According the the Coroner's Office, burns died of smoke and soot inhalation. His death has been ruled accidental.
Maintenance workers at Brookstone Apartments on Nancy Hanks Road found Burns' body after checking out a complaint about a strange, smoky smell coming from the apartment.
Firefighters told us on Friday they found evidence of a small fire in the apartment that was already out. They do not believe it was intentionally set.
