UPDATED: Father and missing children found in southern Kentucky

VERSAILLES, Ky. (WKYT) - A father and his two young children, who disappeared on their way to central Kentucky, have been found.

Michael Mann, his five-year-old daughter, Macy, and three-year-old son, Madden, left New Albany, Indiana Sunday morning. They were headed to Versailles, but never made it. They were found on Tuesday morning, walking along I-75 in Laurel County.

They family was taken to the State Police Post in London.

The children's mother arrived around 11:00 a.m. Tuesday to pick them up. They'll be going back to New Albany, Indiana.

Police interviewed Michael Mann. They tell us there was nothing wrong with the van the family abandoned along I-75. There was a suitcase full of clothing near by.

They're still investigating and say charges could come, but they won't say what those charges could be.
