TAYLORSPORT, Ky. (WKYT) - Jeff Ruby's Waterfront Restaurant in northern Kentucky is taking on water. Pictures show the boat leaning over in the Ohio River in Taylorsport.
The Waterfront has been at a marina in Taylorsport since it broke free from its moorings in Covington last February. It also broke free in 2011 with people on board.
Workers tell Cincinnati CBS affiliate WKRC that a tow boat hit the restaurant at the marina a few weeks ago. They say they put a temporary patch on it, but it is failing. It was scheduled to be fixed on Friday. Workers say the boat can't go much lower because it has already hit the bottom in that part of the river.
Jeff Ruby plans to open Jeff Ruby's Steakhouse in Lexington. It will be located at the corner of Limestone and Vine Streets, in the new CentrePointe development. Ruby signed the lease for the restaurant back in May.
