Jessamine Co. robberies may be connected

JESSAMINE COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - A robber holds up a restaurant at gunpoint in Jessamine County and now investigators believe it may be connected to another hold-up.

The similarities between these two crimes are obvious, in both cases a man armed with a handgun and covering his face hit a business along the same stretch of us 68.

In surveillance video from the latest robbery Tuesday night at the Subway, you can see a man enter the restaurant and force two employees to the back. The suspect then brought the employees to the front of the store where he made one of them empty the register.
He then led them to a bathroom, put them inside before he left the store.

Police are looking for a man who went to a gas station just after the Subway robbery, they aren't calling him a suspect, but they do need the publics help finding him. They believe he was driving this SUV.

Last week, a similar robbery happened at Concord Cleaners in the Bellerive Shopping Center which is just across the street. Police aren't saying this is the same man, but it's something they're investigating.

The sheriffs department says they will be increasing patrols in the area until these robberies have a resolution.

If you have information about the robberies, you are asked to call the Jessamine County Sheriff's office at 859-885-4139.
