Judge lifts protective order against Shane Ragland

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A judge lifts an emergency protective order against a man who admitted to killing a U.K. Football player.

Shane Ragland's girlfriend had filed the E.P.O. Against him in Jefferson county. She claims he tried to hit her in the head with a metal rod and then tried to run her over with his wheelchair.

His girlfriend later asked that the E.P.O. Be lifted, saying stress led to their fights.

Ragland is now wheelchair bound following a car crash last year.

Ragland pleaded guilty to manslaughter and served time in prison fro the 1994 shooting death of Trent Digiuro.
