FORT MITCHELL, Ky. (AP) - A scheduled appearance by the 4th District Republican Congressional candidate before the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce has drawn the ire of Democrats, who say their candidate also should be given a chance to address the group.
Kenton County Democratic Party Chairman Col Owens told The Kentucky Enquirer (http://bit.ly/SRES7O) that the organization should reconsider its decision to have Republic Thomas Massie speak without inviting Democratic candidate Bill Adkins.
The issue was raised over the weekend, and chamber officials issued a statement Monday saying their members had requested that Massie be present at a government forum on Oct. 26. By Tuesday afternoon, however, they were reaching out to Adkins' campaign to extend an invitation for him to appear before the group.
A resolution wasn't immediately reached.
