LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WKYT) - Kentucky Fried Chicken is trying to raise money to feed the hungry.
For the first time, KFC is auctioning historical artifacts once owned by Colonel Sanders to raise money for Feeding America and the World Food Program.
Consumers can bid on 17 pieces of Sanders memorabilia which, until recently, were locked away in a secure underground cavern in Louisville, Kentucky.
KFC has teamed up with Dallas-based Heritage Auctions for the auction, which notably sold one of Colonel Sanders’ famous white suits last June for $21,510, to help curate the “Colonel Sanders Collection.”
The auction is live on ha.com/kfc now through October 28th.
