Bands of light snow are working across the region. These can put down some light accumulations on the grass and elevated surfaces.
Van Lear, Ky. (WYMT)-- One Johnson County home contained about 155 marijuana plants, which police seized Thursday morning.
"This is a fairly elaborate setup that this individual had," said Trooper Dustin Thompson with Kentucky State Police. "This is one of the more professional ones I've ever seen.
It included irrigation and lighting equipment, which police also seized, said Thompson.
Police arrested Larry Conley, charging him with cultivation of five or more marijuana plants, according to records from the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center.
Dwayne Yeary lives across the street from Conley. Law enforcement should work cases other than marijuana cultivation, he said.
"It's sad, really," said Yeary. "As many meth labs and stuff that's possible in this town, and marijuana's what they find. I don't like it, but what can I do."
Yeary spoke well of Conley and favors the legalization of marijuana.
"He's a really good guy. He's a good-hearted guy. He's got some friends. He's got a lot of friends that like him," said Yeary.
The marijuana had a value of about $300,000, according to Kentucky State Police.
