KSP Trooper gives CPR to unresponsive child

TAYLOR COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) -- They're around to serve and protect and one Kentucky State Trooper did just that.

KSP tell us yesterday, Trooper Casey Wethington was on patrol in the Speck Ridge Road area of Taylor County, when he was flagged down by a woman that said her 7-year-old daughter had a seizure, and was not breathing.

State Police tell us Wethington radioed dispatch for an ambulance, and did CPR until the ambulance arrived.

We're told he child is in ICU in the pediatric unit at Kosair's hospital in Louisville.
