KSP bomb squad called after device found inside Rockcastle Co. business

ROCKCASTLE COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - An investigation is underway after a suspicious device was found inside a Rockcastle County business Tuesday morning.

A sheriff's deputy tells us two threats were called into the Tobacco Barn in Brodhead around 8 a.m. A state police bomb squad was called to the business after employees found a suspicious device inside the store.

Investigators have not released any additional details about the device.

Police shutdown most of the area around the store, closing South Main Street, while the bomb squad worked to determine if the device was explosive.

Police reopened roads around the business just before noon. The store remains closed while police investigate the situation.
