KSP investigates accident in Cumberland County

BURKESVILLE, Ky. (WKYT) - Kentucky State Police are investigating a collision that occurred Friday afternoon in Burkesville on Main Street.

Ronald G. Sexton, 39, of Monticello was traveling south on Main St, operating a Ford truck, when he struck a pedestrian crossing the roadway.

Sara Huckelby, 33, of Burkesville was walking to the Courthouse when she was struck.

Huckelby was transported to the Cumberland county hospital where she was later flown to the University of Louisville for treatment of her injuries. Huckelby is listed as in stable condition.

Trooper Gibson was assisted at the scene by Troopers from Post 15, Burkesville City Police, Cumberland County Sheriffs office, Cumberland county EMS, Fire, and Rescue.

Lexington restaurant reopens after reinspection
