Some storms are possible during the morning and afternoon on Tuesday. Damaging winds and flooding will be the main threats. With an already soaked ground, expect strong winds to easily bring down some trees.
(Richmond, KY) - There's a new twist in the search for a missing teenager.
Brookelyn Farthing, 18, disappeared from Madison County nearly two weeks ago.
On Tuesday, Kentucky State Police issued a request for property owners in Madison, Estill, Jackson and Rockcastle counties. They're asking people to check their property for any sign of Farthing. They requested that people pay extra attention to freshly turned earth, unusual smells, ditch lines and remote areas. State Police acknowledge that could be a lot of things, but all tips will be followed up on.
"We want to make sure this case is resolved," says Trooper Paul Blanton with Kentucky State Police. "The family has a lot of questions and until we find Brookelyn, we're not going to be able to answer those questions."
Last Friday, police searched an area near the location where Farthing was last seen. The site was located near a home where some of her belongings were found. That home is at the center of a suspicious fire investigation.
The case is still being called a missing persons case. Farthing was last seen wearing a gray FFA shirt and denim shorts. If you have any information, you're asked to call State Police at (859) 623-2404 or text a tip to 67283.
