KSP troopers complete Grand Canyon hike

FRANKFORT, KY. (WKYT) - Two Kentucky State Police troopers have completed a mission to honor their fallen colleagues.

Commissioner Rodney Brewer and Lieutenant Colonel Jack Miniard hiked the Grand Canyon from rim to rim. It's about a 25 mile journey. They carried pictures of the 27 State Police troopers who've died in the line of duty since 1948.

They're asking for donations to The Trooper Project for their effort. The money will be used for a memorial on the grounds of the new KSP training facility in Frankfort. You can donate at the linked attached to this story or by mailing your donation to the following address:
