Keeping an eye on the snow

By  |

This just doesn't seem like the typical April around here due to the fact that there is snow flying around! A little fun fact for you...The latest we have had measurable snow around here was on May 8th, 1923. You can see that yes this is late in the season to have snow, but nowhere near the latest.

Snow showers will be flying through mainly during the morning hours with possible light accumulations on grassy and elevated surfaces. We are not seeing a major impact on the roads, but you will have to watch a couple isolated spots with bursts of snow. Toward the afternoon there will be an isolated chance of a snow shower, but gradual clearing for most is expected. Even if we do see sunshine, you better hope you didn't put up your winter clothes because highs will be in the lower 40s.

A Freeze Warning is in effect for tonight through Wednesday morning. Don't forget to cover plants or if you can bring them indoors. We rebound nicely Wednesday & Thursday with highs in th 50s and 60s. A rain chance for Friday with highs staying in the 60s.

Easter weekend doesn't look too shabby. There is a small chance of a couple showers for both days, but nothing that will ruin any plans. Highs will be at or slightly below average.
