Very slow moving showers and thunderstorms will move into our area overnight and Sunday. The potential for flooding will be heightened in southern and eastern Kentucky.
FRANKFORT, Ky. (WKYT) - The Kentucky General Assembly will not meet on Monday due to the weather and hazardous road conditions.
After discussions with Senate Leadership and House Leaders this morning they have decided that both chambers will re-convene Tuesday, March 4th.
“We have heard numerous reports from the Kentucky State Police and our own members that the roads are very dangerous, and since many of our members travel several hours to get to Frankfort, we decided that it would be better to wait until tomorrow,” House Speaker Greg Stumbo said.
The Senate is scheduled to go into session at 2 p.m. and the House will reconvene at 4 p.m.
