Kentucky Kingdom holding job fair

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WKYT) - The grand reopening of Kentucky Kingdom is just a few months away.

The park, which has been closed for four years, will reopen on May 24th.

And with that date so close, the park is looking to hire more than 1,000 seasonal employees.

On Saturday, Kentucky Kingdom is holding a job fair and hoping to find employees that focus on making every visitor's experience a positive and memorable one.

In order to appropriately staff the theme park, Kentucky Kingdom is looking to fill positions in 20 different departments, ranging from ride operators to horticulture specialists.

Seasonal employment starts at $8.50 per hour and includes employee perks like a free season pass, tickets for family and friends and a free uniform.

The job fair is Saturday, Jan. 4, between 10 a.m and 4 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, at 830 Phillips Lane in Louisville, in the Coronet Ballroom.

The management team will be at the fair to answer any questions you may have.

Kentucky Kingdom is asking that potential employees with last names beginning with letters A-M attend between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. and last names beginning with letters N-Z attend between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.
