Kentucky college put on lockdown after threat

WHITESBURG, Ky. (WKYT) -- Some tense moments on the campus of an eastern Kentucky college today all because of a threat.

Investigators say an employee of the Whitesburg campus of Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College overheard a student make a threat about not receiving some financial aid.

As a precaution, the campus was locked down today and students were evacuated.

We're told the campus will be closed through Monday, while police and campus leaders investigate.
