LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A Kentucky native is going see if she has what it takes to survive the toughest conditions and the Tribal Council.

'Survivor' announced the newest contestants for its next season, and Jefra Bland, of Campbellsville, made the cut.

Bland won the title of Miss Kentucky Teen USA back in 2009. She was also named Miss Bowling Green in 2012.

"I don't like to define myself as a pageant girl. I feel that's really cliché honestly," Bland said.

This is the 28th edition of Survivor. It will be taped in the Philippines. This season the castaways will be divided into three tribes: brawn, brains and beauty. Bland is in the beauty tribe.

Survivor premieres on Wednesday, February 26th on WKYT.
