The Kentucky Office of Employment and Training is reporting a decline in jobless rates in 104 counties in March.

Woodford County recorded the lowest unemployment rate at 6.2 percent. Oldham, Fayette and Shelby counties had unemployment rates below 7 percent.

Despite those bright spots, some Kentucky counties continue to deal with widespread joblessness.

Magoffin County's 17.5 percent unemployment rate was the highest in the state, though several others also remained in the teens.

Fulton County had a rate of 17.1 percent. Jackson County's rate was 16 percent. And Menifee County was 15.5 percent.

Bell, Clay, Leslie, Menifee, Morgan and Wolfe all had rates above 14 percent.
