KNOX COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - Deputies arrest two people, they say, were under the influence when they were supposed to be caring for a young child. Deputies say Samantha Weddle was found staggering around Moore Hill Avenue in Knox County. They say Weddle admitted to using meth the day before and told deputies she needed to go home to home to her 3-year-old. Deputies say Weddle told them she left the child with a friend named Robert Taylor. When deputies got back to Weddle's home, we're told Taylor was trying to leave the area and couldn't explain where the child was. Deputies eventually located the child at a home next door where Weddle's mother lives. She told deputies she'd been trying to contact her daughter for hours and didn't know she was at home. Weddle and Taylor are both charged with public intoxication and endangering the welfare of a minor.
