The risk for strong and severe thunderstorms will be on the increase late this afternoon into the evening. The Storm Prediction Center has placed the entire area in a slight chance for severe weather through Wednesday.

Ky. high school named best in America

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WKYT) - A Kentucky high school has been named America's best high school.

The Carol Martin Gatton Academy of Math and Science in Bowling Green recently received the ranking from Newsweek Magazine.

Governor Steve Beshear will stop by the school on Monday to recognize the honor.
