Ky. house candidate admits error in email

EARLINGTON, Ky. (AP) - A candidate for the state 10th District House seat says he made a mistake asking the Earlington city clerk to send an email related to his campaign rally this month.

Earlington Mayor Mike Seiber told The Messenger (bit.ly/SsFn) that he inadvertently had the clerk send the email. Seiber says he realized the error the next day when he received a forwarded copy of the email and saw the original carried the clerk's city email address.

The email related to Seiber's political rally Thursday that featured House Speaker Greg Stumbo. He sent it at 7:10 p.m. Sept. 11 from city clerk Julie Sellers' account.

Seiber, a Democrat who is challenging Republican incumbent Ben Waide, said he had just received confirmation finalizing details for the rally.
