MUNFORDVILLE, Ky. (AP) - MUNFORDVILLE, Ky. (AP) - A south-central Kentucky man has pleaded guilty to charges of manslaughter and tampering with physical evidence just before his trial was to begin.
The Glasgow Daily Times reports that Daniel J. Hostetler entered the plea Tuesday in Hart Circuit Court after the judge ruled he was competent to stand trial in the 2012 death of Brandon Crain. His trial would have begun on Aug. 26.
Hostetler was arrested in April, more than a year after 19-year-old Brandon Crain was last seen alive. A fisherman found Crain's body on April 29, 2012, in the Green River in Butler County.
