LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT/AP) - Law enforcement agencies in Kentucky and five other six states plan participate in a weeklong campaign targeting distracted driving.
The Kentucky State Police and its troopers are joining with the Ohio State Highway Patrol and state police in Indiana, Michigan, Pennsylvania and West Virginia on the effort.
The stepped-up enforcement is scheduled to begin Sunday and run through July 26.
The agencies also will be on the lookout for seat belt use and speeding as well as aggressive and impaired driving.
