LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - The Urban Active fitness club based in Lexington will be bought by one of the largest fitness chains in the country.
Royce Pulliam of Urban Active tells WKYT it should be a done deal within a few weeks.
He says they've talked to LA Fitness about a possible sale for the last several years, and says the timing is right.
Pulliam calls it a bittersweet moment.
He started with one fitness club twenty years ago in Gardenside, and grew it to 36 locations in seven states with a quarter million members.
Pulliam says LA Fitness is the best in the business, and that this change in ownership should not effect the members of Urban Active right now.
