LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Land use, agriculture and food will be the focus of the first conference of The Berry Center, named for Kentucky author and activist Wendell Berry and his family.
WFPL-FM reports the conference will celebrate the 35th anniversary of Berry's book about agriculture called "The Unsettling of America" and introduce the center to the public.
The Berry Center was founded two years ago. It focuses on the work of Berry, as well as his father and brother, John M. Berry Sr. and John M. Berry Jr.
Wendell Berry's daughter, Mary, is the executive director.
The conference begins Thursday in Louisville.
