Rounds of showers and thunderstorms could cause issues across the region Saturday. Damaging winds, large hail and a few tornadoes will be possible.
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Drivers on North Broadway will encounter lane closures for the next few months. The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet started an asphalt resurfacing project from Fifth Street to Cane Run Road.
Crews will work from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. throughout the week.
It's expected to last until late summer or early fall, during baseball season. Which means, it may be a little harder to get around Whitaker Bank Ballpark. Legends President and COO Andy Shea isn't concerned.
"Whether it's traffic or something, we handle it to the best of our abilities," said Shea.
The team is on the road. So, the first time Legends fans will have to navigate lane closures will be Saturday.
No matter what work is going on, at least one lane will be open in both directions.
The sidewalk ramps in that area will also be improved.
