Lane closures scheduled on New Circle through April

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Lane closures are scheduled between Versailles and Georgetown roads from now until April.

State Transportation officials say they will be doing survey work and some geotechnical drilling.

The lane closures will be intermittent on the stretch of New Circle, but officials say there will be working from 9am-3pm each day and one lane will remain opened.

Officials say they’re hoping this will lessen the impact during rush hour.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet suggests if you are headed in the direction of New Circle and Blue Grass Parkway to be aware of the work zone and allow plenty of extra time for your commute.
