LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - An elementary school student in Lexington was taken to the hospital by ambulance Thursday afternoon after being hit by a car.
Lexington police say the 7-year-old boy had just gotten off a school bus on Woodhill Drive and was crossing in front of the bus when a car hit him.
Police say a 16-year-old driver did not stop for the bus and hit the boy, knocking him down. Police say the teen told them he did not see the bus's stop arm.
The boy is expected to be ok. The teen driver is not expected to face charges.
