LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Patients at Kentucky Children's Hospital received a special Valentine this year.

Singers, including Stitches the Cat, serenaded the kids and their families. They also got their pick of pizza, heart-shaped cookies and Valentine cupcakes. The Lexington Dream Factory has put on the party each year for patients.

"One parent's in there crying because her child is eating for the first time in several weeks. And seeing the smiles on the kids' faces and smiles on the parents' faces, it's a win-win situation," explained Mark McKenzie with the Lexington Dream Factory.

The Lexington Dream Factory grants wishes to children diagnosed with chronic and critical illnesses. To learn more about the organization, you can visit lexingtondreamfactory.org.
