LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT)-Officers say they are trying to find a woman by posting her picture on the website IDthisperson.com, which offers rewards to catch criminals.

"She waits until shoppers or diners have left their purses or wallets unattended," Lexington Police spokeswoman Sherelle Roberts explained. "I know we've all done it; reached for the bananas--that split second, that's when the suspect takes the wallet or the purse."

The first 6 victims were hit at the Tates creek Kroger, Lowry Lane Kroger and Lowry Lane T.J. Maxx stores on December 13 and 14 of last year. In fact, Roberts says the woman stole from customers at the T.J. Maxx three times in one day.

Roberts says officers believe she's been responsible for many more. After taking wallets and purses from shoppers, officers say the woman racked up charges at Fayette Mall... Hitting the Dillard's, Macy's and Apple store.

"We are looking into the possibility that she's connected to cases as recently as a few days ago."

Lexington Police have put the woman's picture on the website Id-this-person dot com and are hoping you can help them identify her. It's the same site that led to arrests following couch burnings and property damage near Uk's campus during the NCAA tournament this time last year.
