Lexington Police searching for suspect allegedly involved in shooting incident

Lexington Police have obtained arrest warrants Thursday for a man they say is behind a shooting incident that happened on Wednesday afternoon.

They tell us the warrants issued for DeShawn McMullen, 20, are for wanton endangerment, violation of a Kentucky Emergency Protective Order, and menacing charges.

Police were called to a shots fired call around 3 p.m. Wednesday on Woodhill Drive. When they got there, police say they found a victim/witness that says she was walking on Woodhill near Peachtree with a young child when a black SUV was seen approaching on Woodhill.

Witnesses tell police McMullen got out of the SUV with a gun, and and approached several people. We're told McMullen then fired shots toward two people standing on the sidewalk. Witnesses tell Lexington Police McMullen got back into the SUV and fled toward New Circle Road.

Lexington Police tell us no one was hit in the gunfire.

Anyone with information on McMullen's whereabouts is asked to call 911 immediately.
