The Estill County teen lost his father to cancer. Two weeks later, his mother died in a car crash.
Austin City Saloon in Lexington is hosting a benefit concert for Snowden. They have six bands performing.
You have to be 21 to attend the event, there's a one dollar donation minimum to get in.
"I don't think anybody that saw the story that wasn't touched by it," said Josh Brock, Austin City Saloon's General Manager.
He's received help along the way from strangers and those close to him.
This event at Austin City Saloon is just one more-- to help a young man going through an extremely tough and unthinkable time.
More than $1,000 were raised on Sunday at the benefit.
Donations can still be made to the "Joe Snowden Fund" at Citizens Guranty Bank in Irvine.
