Lexington caregiver accused of scamming disabled man

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A caregiver is accused of scamming a mentally disabled man out of hundreds of dollars.

Lexington police say Paul Scott convinced the victim to give him $1,500 to buy some new furniture. Scott gave the victim receipts for the purchases, but police say he forged the totals.

Instead of spending $990 on a new desk, police say Scott admitted to buying the desk from Goodwill for less than $7. Scott is charged with exploitation of an adult.
