Lexington company once again giving the gift of heat

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Fayette Heating & Air will be accepting applications for the sixth year of “The Gift of Heat” from December 1, 2012 to December 14, 2012.

A new furnace will be awarded to an individual or family in need. The winner must be nominated by a friend, family member, co-worker or group.

“We know that we are only reaching a fraction of those in need, and we want to reach many, many more,” said owner Bret Melrose. “So, we are asking congregations and community organizations to spread the word and nominate those they need of heat, as well. The need is always greater than what can be filled, but we can at least do something rather than nothing.”

Nominations will be accepted online at www.fayetteheating.com, or entries may be mailed to 817 Nandino Blvd., Lexington, Ky., 40511, Attention: Gift of Heat.

All entries must be received by 12 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14. Finalists will be selected and contacted the following day.

The winning family will be announced at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 19, at Fayette Heating and Air, 817 Nandino Blvd. The family’s HVAC system will be installed the following week.
