Lexington driver dies after cardiac episode

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) -- The driver of a car that crashed through a fence, and hit a house, has died.

The Fayette County coroner's office says Jeffrey Porter Heath, 67, of Lexington suffered a cardiac event before the crash on Sandwood Place Thursday afternoon.

Investigators say no one saw the crash, and someone living nearby found Porter unresponsive, with his foot still on the accelerator, about 20 minutes later.

The coroner says Heath died from the cardiac event, and not from the crash.
