LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) -- A family is lucky to be alive tonight after escaping a fire in their home.

Lexington fire fighters got a call to Seville Court, just off Tates Creek road around three Sunday morning. When they arrived at the scene they found the home on fire.

everyone inside was able to make it out, but one person did have to be treated at the scene for smoke inhalation.

Fire fighters also found a dog inside the home, which we are told also needed medical attention this Sunday morning.

There's no word right now on what started the fire.
