A line of strong to severe storms will race across central and eastern Kentucky over the next several hours.
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Fire crews have been busy Sunday battling fires across the state including a muck fire that the Lexington Fire Department has been on the scene of for several hours.
Crews were called out to the property on North Yarnallton Pike just before Noon on Sunday.
Firefighters had to use tankers to bring water in to fight the fire. They tell us they have already made several trips in with 1,000 gallon trucks.
Crews remain on the scene and fire officials tell us they will likely be out there throughout the evening to keep the fire under control but they do not expect it to spread or cause damage to any areas nearby.
WKYT has a crew on the scene and will bring you the latest information as it becomes available.
