LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Lexington Police are looking into whether a Thanksgiving Day hold-up is connected to other crimes in the city.

Three men robbed the Extended Stay on Richmond Road, near Todds Road, around four Thursday morning. The men came in armed with guns and approached the front desk.

The manager was able to run in the back and lock himself inside a room. The robbers tried to grab the cash register, but it was bolted to the counter. They left empty-handed.

Police say this crime is similar to others that have happened in town over the past few weeks. All of them involved three armed men. At this point, though, they are not connecting the cases.

Police are reviewing surveillance video of Thursday's robbery to see if they can gather any clues in the case.
