LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A Lexington man is charged with manslaughter after the death of a young child.
Crews were called to a home on Huntsville Road in Lexington around 6:30 a.m. Saturday for an unresponsive child.
Investigators say McKenzie admitted to wrapping a blanket around his child's face, hindering the child's breathing. He told investigators the mother of the child had warned him that wrapping the blanket in that manner could suffocate the baby.
The baby, we're told, died at UK Hospital.
