Man arrested after Sunday stabbing in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Lexington police have arrested a man they say stabbed an acquaintance early Sunday morning in Lexington.

Police said it happened in the 2400 block of Larkin Road.

They said two men got into an argument, which led 60-year-old Silas Brashears stabbing the other man in the arm, back, and the neck.

Police charged Brashears with assault in the first degree and tampering with evidence. They said they found Brashears trying to clean the blood off the knife used in the attack, and off the walls of his apartment entryway.

The victim was able to walk to a nearby Speedway gas station where emergency officials say an employee there called 911.

The victim was taken to UK hospital, and is expected to recover.
