Lexington men get five years in prison for 2010 shooting death

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Two men charged with murdering a man outside a Lexington strip club have agreed to a plea deal.

Joseph Richardson pleaded guilty to reckless homicide. Kenneth Wadkins pleaded guilty to manslaughter.

The victim, Rocardo "Tezzy" Cole, was shot outside Camelot West in 2010. In court Monday, Richardson admitted he shot Cole during a fight over a woman. Both Richardson and Wadkins received five year sentences for their crimes. The victim's grandmother says that's not long enough.

"It's not right. It's just not right. His life is worth more than five years. Any human being's life is worth more than five years," explained Ella Cole.

Wadkins also received an additional 18 years on his sentence because of some parole violations.
