LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Many other cities in central Kentucky made the decision to postpone trick or treat on Wednesday, and Lexington eventually followed suit.
Lexington Mayor Jim Gray says he made the decision to postpone trick or treat because of the growing severe weather threat. His office has received numerous calls over the last several days from concerned parents. Mayor Gray says his first priority is children's safety.
Trick-or-treat in Lexington will now be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening.
