Lexington officer involved in car crash

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) -- An officer was injured in a crash this afternoon while responding to a burglary in progress.

We're told officer Debra Hurt was coming down the ramp from I-75 at Broadway, getting ready to make a left turn when a car didn't stop, hitting her on the right side of her cruiser.

Both cars are damaged, and the officer was taken to Central Baptist, while the other driver was sent to UK.

They're both expected to be fine.
