Heavy snow is taking its time moving through the state of Kentucky. This will be a historic once its all said and done with a few spots around a foot of snow.
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) -- Investigators are now calling a death investigation at a home near downtown Lexington a homicide.
Police tell us a man was found with a gunshot wound late Monday afternoon at a home on Silver Maple Way, between East Fourth and East Fifth.
On Tuesday, the coroner identified the victim as 54-year-old Glenn Roderick Sanford. Friends and neighbors called him Reverend Rod.
"Reverend Rod was a great neighbor. He was very friendly. He gave to the community a lot. He would give away food. He took in people who needed a place to stay," said neighbor Patricia Cecil.
Fayette County Coroner Gary Ginn says Sanford's death is being investigated as a homicide.
Police have not released many details about what may have happened. No arrests have been made so far.
